Supernatural Horror Feature Film
The story centers on the psychological and emotional impact of bullying and familial abuse, and how these experiences can deeply scar an individual.
The singular philosophical point being conveyed is that true empowerment comes from confronting one’s fears and reclaiming control over one’s own narrative, regardless of past trauma or external cruelty.
Through Mel’s journey, we learn that standing up to abuse—whether from family or external forces—requires both internal strength and the ability to break free from the victimization imposed by others. The supernatural element serves as a metaphor for the way trauma haunts, but also for how one can transform that pain into power. The story underscores the importance of breaking cycles of abuse and finding the courage to no longer let others define or control your self-worth.
It is about the choice between remaining a victim of your past or seizing your future by facing your deepest fears, no matter how overwhelming they seem.
Mel is an introvert, isolated, shy, and emotionally reserved. She’s a loner by nature, misunderstood by those around her, and often underestimated due to her quiet demeanor. Mel’s intelligence is her strength, but her constant bullying by her older sister has made her retreat inward. Mel wants nothing more than to feel loved, yet she struggles to find her voice in the face of relentless emotional abuse. Beneath her reserved nature lies a quiet resilience and strength.
Eva is rebellious, bitter, and cynical, particularly confident, manipulative, and the quintessential prom queen. She’s attractive and uses her beauty and charm to get what she wants, but beneath the surface, Eva is lazy, shallow, and cruel—especially toward her younger sister, Mel, whom she constantly bullies. Eva blames the tragic death of their mother on Mel. She’s the kind of person who always gets her way, rarely facing consequences due to her charm and social status.
Eva’s best friend and confidante. While not as sharp as the others, Lauren has a quiet awareness of right and wrong but lacks the confidence to stand up to Eva. Lauren is deeply insecure, always seeking validation.
Nick is an intelligent, grounded young man. Nick shows moments of compassion toward Mel. However, his weak character and the fear of being politically incorrect boost this weakness, making him lose control of his emotions.
Typical high school jock. He’s brash, cocky, and rarely takes anything seriously. Athletic and self-assured, he’s earned a sports scholarship, which adds to his ego: his carefree mentality and lack of depth is disguised by a “hero wannabe” attitude
Mel and Eva’s father is an emotionally distant man in his mid-40 to early 50s. Ever since the death of his wife, focusing almost exclusively on his work, he often neglects emotional engagement with his daughters. He sees Mel more as a duty than a child to nurture.
